Phil has more than 30+ years’ commercial experience including CEO, MD, Trustee & Multiple Board level appointments in national & international business in the Commercial, Public & Third Sectors with organisations up to circa 2000 people, £200M turnover, operating in 100+ countries.

Phil now focuses his work on commercial development, information & cyber assurance, risk management, Board effectiveness and other aspects of security. He also acts as strategic adviser to the core abamentis business.

Phil’s Experience

He completed his earlier RAF career as a senior office where his experience included leading the selection and training of RAF officers at the RAF College, operational unit and training school command. He has proven success in establishing new companies and developing businesses from start-up.

Over the last 20 years he has developed substantial Executive Board and Non Executive experience. He has been leading, implementing and mentoring transformational change in commercial enterprise, markets & relationships throughout the UK and Europe, USA, Russia, South America & India.

Leading business from personally establishing and leading solo start-ups (winning FTSE 100 clients with contracts to £20M), to global market expansion in international commercial organisations.

Change Leading extensive experience in governance and delivery for commercial development, key learning, performance and assessment – incorporating interventions in change programmes to engage staff and foster a culture that values, protects and exploits information throughout organisations:

  • Public entity (c.1,400 people);
  • International NGO (c.£200M t/o);
  • Start-up – multimedia (c.40 people/FTSE 100 clients);
  • Commercial implementation of government eLearning incentive (c.£150M t/o);
  • Guidance developing risk/ audit/ sustainability and commercial acumen in £50M charity.

Security: Crisis & risk management, business recovery, information assurance, cyber security, evaluation, sustainability, and associated mentoring.

Support: Guiding and mentoring Boards and senior staff, shaping and motivating teams and individuals to achieve potential, behavioural change and optimise commercial growth.
